As you are probably very aware of by now, lavender has a very relaxing and soothing aroma to it. So it is a great aid to use in promoting a restful night sleep. You can rub lavender directly onto the bottom of your feet to help you sleep but I really like these two easy recipes to keep by the bed at night.
Soothing Sleep Salve
Super easy to make and takes less than 2 minutes you will want to keep a jar of this by your bed for at night.
Ingredients:
- Glass mason jar
- 1/2 cup semi-soft coconut oil
- 8 drops doTERRA lavender oil
- 4 drops doTERRA frankincense oil
- 3 drops doTERRA eucalyptus oil
- 2 drops doTERRA cilantro oil
Instructions:
- Make sure that your mason jar is clean.
- In a small bowl mix coconut oil and doTERRA oils together.
- Keep in jar for storage.
- For use, apply to bottoms of feet or chest before bed to promote a restful nights sleep.
Lavender Pillow Spray
This is going to be the easiest recipe ever, are you ready for it?
Ingredients:
- Glass spray bottle (I use an old Perrier bottle and a standard spray nozzle)
- 2 cups of distilled water
- 10 drops of doTERRA lavender oil
Instructions:
- Fill spray bottle with distilled water.
- Add 10 drops of doTERRA lavender oil.
- Shake well.
- Mist onto pillows and bedding before sleep.
