HOLD UP! Do not, I repeat, DO NOT throw out your pumpkin seeds this year. Because you are totally going to want to try this recipe. I will fully admit I have never been a fan of pumpkin seeds, but this recipe is soooo good, and it even uses essential oils!
Maple Bacon Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients:
- 2-3 drops doTERRA Cassia or Cinnamon Bark oil
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 3-4 pieces of crushed bacon
- 3 cups of pumpkin seeds
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Stir together melted butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, crushed bacon, and essential oil.
- Stir in pumpkin seeds.
- Place on a cookie sheet (lined with parchment paper) and spread seeds out evenly.
- Bake for 25-35 minutes.
- Enjoy!
Seeds do sort of form a toffee sort of texture on them so they may stick together, but they are well worth it!!!!
Enjoy!!!
