Freshen Up Friday

Welcome to the second edition of Freshen Up Friday. There are literally HUNDREDS of recipes I could share with you for cleaning with lemon oil, there are just so many great uses for it! Seriously, you should Google it or head over to Pinterest and check out some cleaning recipes with lemon oil. Trust me when I say this is a must have oil in your home.

Okay so first and foremost, if you are anything like me, clothing doesn’t stay clean long. So having a good stain remover is important. Try this one out, it is great for all those greasy and stubborn stains!

Stain Remover

Ingredients:

  • Glass spray bottle (like I have said before and will say again, Perrier bottles + a spray nozzle work amazing!)
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 20 drops doTERRA lemon oil

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients together in a glass spray bottle.
  2. Spray on stain and wash using OnGuard laundry soap.

Next up we have an oven cleaning spray. If you are anything like me, you absolutely despise cleaning the oven. Like it is seriously the worst chore EVER. But this spray makes it not so bad, and about a 1000 times easier than using any other cleaner.

Oven Cleaner Spray

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon Castile soap
  • 5 drops doTERRA lemon oil
  • 5 drops doTERRA clove oil
  • Glass spray bottle

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients together into spray bottle.
  2. Shake well to combine.
  3. Spray liberally over oven, and let sit for 15 minutes.
  4. Wipe clean with a sponge or cloth.

Finally, a soap scum remover. Because lets face it, it can be next to impossible sometimes to get all the soap scum completely removed. But this recipe makes it a breeze.

Soap Scum Remover

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1/2 cup Borax
  • 10 drops doTERRA lemon oil
  • Glass spray bottle

Instructions:

  1. Add ingredients together in spray bottle and shake well.
  2. Spray onto windows, mirrors, or anywhere soap scum appears.
  3. Wipe dry.
  4. Store in a cool place for 1-2 months.

Let me know if you tried any of these and how you enjoyed them. And if you found any recipes of your own that you love for cleaning with lemon oil, be sure to share them in the comments!
