Not to brag, but I may have the best smelling (fake) Christmas Tree around now; not to mention potentially the cutest! I know you are probably wondering how that is possible… well let me tell you, its super simple! So grab your mixer, some salt and flour, and some paint and oils!
Essential Oil Diffuser Ornaments
What you will need:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup hot water
- Your favourite doTERRA Holiday Oil (I used Holiday Joy)
- Cookie Cutters
- Acrylic paint in whatever colours you want
- Paint brushes
- Glitter (optional)
- Ribbon
- Pencil
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Prepare cookie trays lined with parchment paper and set aside.
- Mix together flour, salt, water and 5-10 drops of your favourite essential oil.
- Sprinkle flour over your counter surface and roll out the dough to about 1/2 an inch thickness.
- Cut into shapes.
- Use the pencil to poke a hole through for the ribbon to go through.
- Place on the cookie sheets and bake for 2.5 hours, flipping mid way.
- Let cool for approximately 20 minutes.
- Paint with whatever pattern you want!
- Brush essential oils over the back side of the ornament for increased scent.
- Pull ribbon through.
- Place on tree!
